The
idea of Teagan's baby book is one that has been looming over me,
casting a shadow over my free time for oh, about 19 months now.
Pinterest seems to be a blessing AND a curse to someone as indecisive as
myself. Having access to a jillion great ideas leads to me pinning a
jillion great ideas...and if you're waiting for more, that's where it
ends. I need to commit.
Do I put together a binder with envelopes for photos from that month, writing milestones on the front of the envelope?
I've
seen it done and while it's a wonderful idea, mine wouldn't turn out
nearly as beautiful as the example I saw and it would haunt me forever.
Do I dare pick up scrapbooking again?
The
phrase "a woman's work is never done" comes to mind here. As an
on-the-verge of obsessive perfectionist, a mere page takes me eons and
she'd be 18 before I finished...and started on her (crosses fingers)
siblings' scrapbooks. I know myself too well for this one.
Do
I cut and paste from the Word Document I've been keeping since she was
born and create blog posts out of them so I can slurp it into a blog
book?
I think this is the one.
Some of you may laugh that I'm doing it in two steps, but I always
meant to put her progress up on her blog, but it's suffered in that
department. I started the blog when she was already 6 months so I got
off to a late start. It would be nice to have it recorded here, so
that's what I'm going to do.
I
will understand if you want to ignore my posts here for a while - after
all, she's old now. In talking with a friend and looking at her blog
books and baby books, I realized that the resources are available (and
fairly easy to use) for me to create a professional-looking book that
we'll enjoy reading for years to come. Easier said than done, but wish
me luck!
Can't wait to read the book when you get it done. You always do such awesome stuff!!!!
