Teagan Tidbits

  • Teagan loves spending time at our neighbour, Katie's house. Who doesn't? She's treated like royalty and doesn't hear "No" very often - in direct contrast to our house. Katie recounted the following story recently: Teagan had already had one applesauce squeezy and requested another one. When Katie told her "No, Teagan, you've already had one" she marched right to the front door and announced "I go home, Katie. I go home." This may have been one of the first times she'd heard no from her favourite friend, Katie, so I supposed she figured she could get that at home. The girl means business.
  • She was eating Veggie Straws at church and out of the blue the other day, stuck two of them between her front teeth and her lip, turned to Brandon and said "Vampire!" Never a dull moment.
  • "Cayful Mummy's tummy!" If only she'd heed her own advice.
  • She's started to play on the computer and PBS.org and Nickjr.com have no shortage of cute, fun, educational games for kids to play. She's constantly surprising me with how well she can navigate menus and pick up new games. It's a little scary. One of her favourites lately is a Bubble Guppies game that has you choose various hairstyles for each Bubble Guppy and at random, the villain named Hairball will pop up and you have to click on him before he can ruin your hairstyle. Napping has been sporadic lately, so she gets to play on the computer for a short time every day as a sort of quiet time. I'm usually doing dishes or something nearby and can't help but chuckle when our silence is broken every minute or so with "HAIRBALL!"
